You must have a cellular device which supports a Data Wireless Package (WAP) and
an internet communication.
What does it mean to be WAP enabled?
To be able to use a mobile device for gambling, you must be sure that the mobile
phone is WAP enabled. Most phones which are less than 2 years old are likely to be
WAP enabled. To bet, get on the internet via your mobile phone and go to the WAP
or services section from the main menu. Then type in the gambling service you use.
Once connected, log in with your existing username and password.
What are the requirements for a Palm OS-powered PDA Phone?
Any mobile device powered by PalmSource's Palm operating system must be version
4.0 or higher. PalmVII devices are not supported and your mobile device must have
network support for real-time data wireless connections. Network support may come
in the form of an integrated PDA phone, integrated Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth, memory
slot card solutions for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, or jacket/sled solutions for Wi-Fi and
wireless modem cards....(back to top)
Why does the display on my handset keeps going dark while I'm playing?
Since keeping the screen lit consumes more batteries than otherwise, most handset
vendors make the display dim when the user hasn't interacted (pressed any keys) for
a while. If you are annoyed by this option, please check your handset manual for
instructions of how to turn it off.(back to top)
What is Palm Desktop?

Bluetooth

other devices. Bluetooth provides a fast, convenient way to exchange information
between a Windows Mobile based device and a home computer. Some Windows
Mobile based devices have built-in Bluetooth capability; others accept a separate
Bluetooth expansion card....(back to top)
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi adds another level of convenience for mobile entertainment. It allows any user
to access an Internet broadband connection through a hotspot service or home/office
network. Wi-Fi simulates a real-time network connection up to 300 feet from the
hotspot access point/base station. This option would be useful inside a stadium or at
other locations where mobile data calls are not possible. If the stadium has Wi-Fi
hotspot service users can watch the game and wager through the hotspot service
wirelessly without worry or need for a data wireless connection. Even airlines now
deliver Wi-Fi service in-flight where data connections are not available. Users may
also prefer to save on data wireless bandwidth fees (amount of data sent/received)
by using Wi-Fi instead. This could be cheaper depending on usage....(back to top)
What is Java?
Java is a programming language. You may notice mobile phones being advertised in
retail outlets and by carrier network providers that support games. These are java-
based games (applications) that are included with your mobile phone at time of
purchase or easily downloadable from your carrier network provider for a fee.

What is roaming and how does it work for data wireless connections?
If you plan to travel frequently, it is important that you have the right mobile device
for global roaming. In order to roam globally, your mobile phone must have dual-band,
tri-band or quad-band to allow for roaming on the data protocol networks known as
GSM/GPRS and CDMA2000/1xRTT. Naturally, the more bands your device has, the
greater your roaming capability becomes. Generally, mobile phones with all bands are
dubbed "world-phone ready" but always ask the manufacturer or the retailer for details.
A quad-band mobile phone becomes even more useful if it is bluetooth-enabled and you
wish to use higher-end wireless software on Windows Mobile (Pocket PC handheld
PDA) or Palm OS handheld devices enabled with bluetooth functionality.
...The combination which offers the greatest global roaming capability is a quad-band-
enabled device for GSM/GPRS data networks.
...Before you plan your next trip, ensure that your carrier network provider has
international roaming arrangements with the destination you're traveling to. Some
carrier network providers offer this information on their website or by contacting
them directly. The pricing model for data wireless roaming is very different from voice-
enabled roaming - often cheaper - please check with your carrier network provider
for additional details. (back to top)
What happens if I receive a phone call during mobile game play?
On most handsets this will be treated as if you lose your connection - but on some
the game will continue in the background until you are done talking. See "What
happens if I lose network coverage?" as well. (back to top)
What happens if I lose network coverage?
If a player loses connection, he/she will have an extra 30 seconds to reconnect on
top of the regular time allotment for acting. (back to top)
Are some carrier network providers blocking java application downloads
external to their network, including wager-specific wireless applications
and services?
Yes. Some carrier network providers have prevented users from navigating to other
parts of the wireless Internet on their mobile phone. This is largely because carrier
network providers have found a healthy revenue stream in offering game downloads
from their download portal. The problem is specific to java-based applications that
are downloaded to your mobile phone. If you encounter this situation, some carrier
network providers allow you to be removed from their blocking systems (if available).
Simply contact your carrier network provider with a request.
